Health Plus Care 2022 Post-event Round Up
2 minute read | 10/06/2022
On the 18th and 19th May, CEO Matt O’Donovan, along with Nick, Ed, Dean, Becky, Jason & Pierre attended the Health Plus Care show at ExCeL London, the most significant and innovative UK event for healthcare professionals looking to revolutionise the NHS through the use of data, analytics, and technology.
WiFi SPARK had the fantastic opportunity of being able to interact with a variety of professionals including Nurses, Clinicians, and Operations Managers – all of whom found a connection with our products, whilst we also learned how other businesses are tailoring to the demands of the healthcare sector.
Whilst walking through the halls of Excel, we spoke to many innovative and forward-thinking businesses. One which caught our eye, was a technology company who demonstrated their ability to provide projectors to hospitals with thousands of motion-sensitive games installed, from fast-paced and reactive, to calming tasks such as colouring.
This provider has recognised the importance of catering for all generations, from children to the elderly, and this ties in with WiFi SPARK’s aim to provide engagement and entertainment services, appropriate for everyone to use and interact with during their time spent in hospital.
On Day 1 of the event, Matt O’Donovan took the stage to deliver his take on how engagement innovation needs to go beyond patient entertainment within healthcare. See his presentation.
Patient engagement services have previously meant providing basic TV and entertainment to patients, but in 2022 we are able to offer solutions that work for patients, visitors, and staff, including improving clinical solutions, streamlining administrative responsibilities, and providing entertainment at the same time.
What we have learned
With WiFi SPARK’s product range continuing to evolve and develop, the event enabled us to meet with some providers of apps, who expressed interest in working with us to promote their products and present them on our infrastructure. This is a replicable business model that could easily transcend. One central platform brings a vast range of apps together in one place and will improve efficiency and patient well-being, and that is ultimately our goal.
It was also a great opportunity to meet face-to-face with our friends and current partners, including:
Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Barts Health, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, and University College London Hospitals, plus many more!
This year’s Health Plus Care show allowed us to better understand the market we develop our solution for. If you missed our presentation or would like to revisit our content from across the event, follow the link below to view our dedicated Health Plus Care webpage
